White Meranti (aka. White Damar/Copal) is a hard, semi-translucent white resin obtained from the Shorea genus that is commonly sold in the west as a Bursera white copal. Native to the Indonesian islands, this damar resin evaporates completely when heated upon a hot charcoal. It is associated with the Air element and Mercury is thought to be its celestial body.
