The scent was refreshing and cleansing, with a complexity greater than the common mint. Flashes for blue and green passed before my inner eye and I inhaled deeply the fresh forest air. Enraptured with a sense of calm, yet vitalizing currents pulsed through my veins. Who was it that showed me the green world hidden from the smog of industry? His name was Eucalyptus.
"Eucalyptus Forests" was created out of necessity for an incense that would help alleviate allergies. As the demand for Eucalyptus scented incense and fragrances began to grow, it was the perfect time to experiment with this transferring this idea into a resin based blend. White Meranti from Indonesia was chosen as the base resin due to the fact that it is a clean, lightly scented aromatic that easily evaporates when placed upon hot hookah-style charcoal. While this at first seemed like it would be a quick and simple blend to make, once the oils were added the resin quickly liquefied. Unfortunately, less oil means less fragrance, especially with such a delicate oil like Eucalyptus. Other than the consistency of the finished product, I was completely happy with the aromatic outcome. To better perfect the finished product, the next batch will require more time to dry before it is available. Though quite quick to make, blends like these sometimes require over a year of curing until they are ready for retail sale.
