The children were unusually quite this night. Normally they would be chattering excitedly, especially on Christmas Eve. Then I realized why, they all were eating candy canes and were currently content with savoring their delicious minty sweets.
"Classic Candy Canes Incense" was created as one of our casual and festive Yuletide incense blends. Christmas lore states that candy canes originated from Cologne, Germany in 1672. It is thought that the Bishop used these candies to help quiet the chattering children during live nativities common on Christmas Eve. Our first edition featured red and white Peppermint balls coated in white powder. Not fully content with the potency of the mint scent, I intensified the essential oil content for the second edition. Two separate incense batches were made: the red ball with Peppermint scent, and the green balls with Spearmint scent. Each jar was then sold as a mix of the two different "flavors".

"Yummy and sweet like a candy cane! The mint scent is rich, and I like how it seems to clean the air."
